Wrestling team receives academic honors recognition

The varsity wrestling team was coached by Head Coach Wade Byers and Assistant Coaches Kenneth Dockery and AJ Gordan. Teammembers were: Savannah Bas, Brittany Beaver, Brody Dancer, Josh Danielson, James Fleitas, Justin Fleitas, Ryan Hadas, Timmy Kelly, Jeremiah Ledford, Cale Maddox, Cody Neumann, Paul Roche, Taylor Woody, Tyler Worden, Connor Wiegold, Alex Nordmann, Alex Cothren, Joe Barnes, Mark Anderson, Kyle Chastain and Lucas Beaver.
“This award was earned by our student athletes as well as our staff here at Hayesville High School,” Head Coach Wade Byers said. “I am proud of our students and our entire school system. I think the after school program was a big part of helping our student athletes stay on track and we made it a requirement for our those who struggled. This award is a testament to our school system’s commitment to educating our students. I would also like to thank Kennith Dockery and AJ Gordan for their help,” Byers added.
