Andrews will inherit Clay’s infamous Possum Drop
The tradition of the Possum Drop will never be extinguished because it has chosen Andrews as its new home.
A couple of months ago, Mayor James Reid contacted Clay Logan, the father of the Possum Drop, and mentioned the possibility of bringing the event to Andrews.
After meeting Tuesday morning with Andrews community leaders Reid, Bill Anderson and Tom Page, Logan decided to initiate plans for moving the Possum Drop to Andrews.
“It’s such a popular event, and I think it needs to be somewhere,” Logan said. “I haven’t generated interest anywhere else except for Andrews.”
