Care center earns four-star rating
Hayesville’s Clay County Care Center celebrates a new four-star rating after years of working towards the highest possible quality of care and service for residents.
This rating comes from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services based on the components of health inspections, staffing and many quality measures.
Just three years ago, under different leadership, the care center was rated at a one-star level.
Now residents, their families and the community have something to be proud of. Scott Alexander, the facility’s executive administrator of the past three years put into words what he knows made all the difference.
“We treat everyone like family. That doesn’t just mean the residents; it means their families, our staff and our community.
