Celebrating class of 2017
Hayesville High School’s class of 2017 show sheer joy as they enjoy a confetti celebration and traditional tossing of the caps after Friday’s commencement ceremony held in the school gymnasium. The class was comprised of 71 graduates and of those 61 say they plan to continue their education in college. Superintendent of Schools Mark Leek and Hayesville High School Principal Mickey Noe presided on Friday’s ceremony in front of a packed house. Grads were encouraged to persevere in their lives and never give up. Family and friends of graduates also enjoyed a performance of the National Anthem by Hayesville High School Band under the direction of Jennifer Gibson and “You Raise Me Up,” by the graduation chorus.
