Thu, 11/03/2016 - 11:27am
It’s that time of the year again and the Clay County Food Pantry is starting its fund-raiser to provide either a turkey, ham or chicken plus all the fixin’s to make a great holiday dinner for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and we need your help.
Last year with the help of local churches, business and private individuals, we were successful in serving more than 400 families for these holidays.
The food pantry has been in operation since 1995 and has served so many. They are open every Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. to the residents of Clay County.
On an average between 275-315 boxes are distributed every week and as winter approaches this number will increase. In 2015 the pantry distributed more than 14,000 boxes of food. The need is here folks and we are asking for your help.
Your tax-deductable donation will make a way for us to purchase these items at a discount.
You may mail your donation to CCFP, PO Box 853, Hayesville, NC 28904. Please mark your checks “Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Program.” No amount is too small, every bit helps us to help others. Please consider a contribution this season.
On behalf of the pantry, we thank you in advance for your gift.
Be blessed and be a blessing.
