Young stroke victim a ‘miracle’

During this season of miracles, one local family is celebrating its own. Despite a discouraging prognosis just two months ago, 8-year-old Mattie Mustin is healthy and walking. To the Mustin family, it is a miracle from God.
Mattie Mustin was only seven when she had an unusual health crisis. On Oct. 10 of this year, the little girl suffered a stroke.
Mattie, the daughter of Matt and Shanna Mustin, shared what she remembers. “I was wrestling with Sadie and I fell down,” she said. “I got back up and I could not walk well.” She said the problem continued and got much worse when she got out of the shower.
