Falcons Sign Safety Ron Parker
The Falcons have signed veteran safety Ron Parker.
Parker entered the NFL in 2011 when he was signed as a college free agent by the Seattle Seahawks following the draft. Parker has spent time with four NFL teams over his nine-year career, playing in 90 games with 64 starts.
The defensive back out of Newberry College has spent the last five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 80 career games with the team, Parker posted 318 total tackles, nine interceptions, 43 passes defensed, five fumble recoveries, and seven sacks. Last season, he played and started in all 16 games and recorded 67 total tackles, two interceptions, and four passes defensed.
