Clinton Oliver Cummins
Clinton Oliver Cummins, 91, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday Nov. 30, 2016 at his home. He was born July 28, 1925, second son to the late Guy T. Cummins and Ellajean Smith Cummins.
Clinton served in the US Army Air Corps Reserve from 1949 to 1963; he retired as a Major. He worked for Carlson Steel. Clinton served as Master Counselor Order of DeMolay. He also served as President of the Architectural Review Board for Smith Home for Aged Women, President of the Military Office Association and served on the Nantahala Regional Literacy Council. Clinton enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Cummins and two brothers, Guy and John Cummins.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Clare Cummins; sons, Christopher and Michael Cummins; daughters, Deborah Wroblewski and Loree Lemieux; step-son, Daniel Briggs and daughter-in-law Patricia Cummins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 5 at the Sweetwater Methodist Church Cemetery in Hayesville.
