Doris Eveler, 94, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 in a Towns County, Ga. hospital. She was a native of Long Beach, Calif., before moving to Hayesville in May 2005. As a young lady, she loved playing for the Women’s Softball League for Lynx in Buena Park, Calif. Doris had worked in the cafeteria for the Anaheim, California School District. She was a member of the Ford V8 Vintage Car Club and the Emblem. Doris was of the Christian faith. She also loved to paint.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest G. and Jessie Snell Toms and the wife of the late Andrew Coble Eveler Jr.
Surviving are her daughter, Becky Lyvers and husband, Tony, of Hayesville; three sons, Andy Eveler of Oroville, Calif., Bill Eveler and wife, Debbie, of La Palma, Calif. and Marc Eveler and wife, Linda, of Warne; and 10 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
An inurnment will be at a later date in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
