Fleta Jean Norton
Fleta Jean Norton, 69, of Loganville, Ga., and formerly of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Gwinnett Medical Center.
She was born in Clay County to the late Kenneth and Louise Hoffman Ledford. Fleta was a homemaker and loved her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, David Ledford.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Norton; two sons, Chuck Norton and wife, Wendy, and Dan Norton and wife, Amy; four sisters, Shirley Sellers and husband, Doc, Peggy Sedberry and husband, Danny, Patsy Gribble and husband, Mike, and Pam Martin and husband, Kenneth; four grandchildren, Kaylie, Taylor, Brady and Quinn; one sister-in-law, Sharon Ledford; special friend, Marie Reese; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Eulogies were given by her family. Burial was in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were James and Cotton Norton, Scott Ledford, Jeremy McClure, Dylan Sellers and Michael Anderson. Honorary pallbearer was Bill Norton.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 20 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
