Janice T. Moss

Janice T. Moss, 67, entered Heaven's gates on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2019. 

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert R. Moss, of Penfield, Ga.; son Robby Moss, of Athens, Ga.; her parents, William and Gladys Tarpley, of Watkinsville, Ga.; brother, Terry Tarpley, of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Judy Tarpley, Watkinsville, Ga. 

She is survived by her daughter, Trish M. Hambrick (Keith), of Blairsville, Ga.; granddaughter, Emma G. Hambrick, of Blairsville; sister Cheryll A. Hyde, of Hayesville; and nephews and nieces. 

Janice began her work as a ward secretary at Athens Regional Medical Center and it was there she found her desire to help others. She did not attend formal college, however she learned all her skills from wonderful doctors and nurses. She was a beloved nurse for more than 40 years and worked with many physicians in the Athens and Hayesville areas. Her passion was always to help others in need and was one of the most sought out nurses in the area. 

She was a long standing member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church in Athens, and a current member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Hayesville. She worked in various ministries and was a faithful prayer warrior. 

She was devoted to her family, friends, church but most importantly the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. 

She will be reunited with loved ones that have gone on before her and missed by many. 

In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to her local church First Free Will Baptist Church, 259 Tusquittee St. Hayesville, N.C. 28904, to continue to spread the word of the Lord. Her final resting place will be in Penfield alongside her husband and son attended by private family.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at First Free Will Baptist Church with all welcomed.
