Kelly Luther Owens, 50, of Warne, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at Union General Hospital.
He was the son of Luther Owens and the late Jerleen Owenby Owens. Kelly was a physical therapy assistant with Mountain Home Nursing.
He was a Steeler's fan and he enjoyed collecting comic books and football cards. Kelly was a great man and was dedicated to his family, friends and patients. He loved to make people laugh and he was a very loving husband and father. Kelly will be greatly missed, although we know he is rejoicing in Heaven with his family who has gone on before.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Vicki Brooks Owens; son, Kasey Owens; daughter, Lindseyrae Cowart and grandchildren, Adalyn Vandewerker and Alex Cowart.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Sept. 22 at Pine Log Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Aud Brown officiated. Pallbearers were Kasey and Lonnie Owens, Dale Flemings, Dalson Stanley, Eric Vandewerker and Blake and Steve Brooks.
The family received friends from 12-2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel, of Hayesville.
