Kenneth Lee Lance

Kenneth Lee Lance, 79 of Lawrenceville, Ga. passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Burial followed at Ewing Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula, Ga. Rev. Michael Soop officiated.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and boss. He was also so much more to so many people. Kenneth truly believed that family was the most important thing in life. He knew that some were not so fortunate and easily became family to everyone whose life he touched. Selfless in nature, he truly took joy in helping friends, family or anyone in need.
He was an accomplished business owner and took pride in every area of his work. He started Lance Wrecker Service in 1968 and loved nothing more than staying up all night by the phone and going out on wrecker calls to help someone in need. His employees were an extension of his family and he loved and respected everyone he worked alongside with. Anyone who knew him knew he had a passion for all cars; fast cars, slow cars and cars that were in need of a little help.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Harve and Bonnie Lance; brothers, John Lance and Robert Shuler; sister, Lillie Casey.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gelaine; son and daughter-in-law, Rickie and Angie Lance; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Jimmy Patterson; granddaughter, Aubrey Cochran, all of Lawrenceville; brothers: Harvie Lance, Jr., of Hoschton, Ga.; Garnett Lance, of Dacula, Ga.; sisters, Edith Henson, of Murphy; Myrtle Adams, of Hoschton; Sally Phillips, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; Louise Givens, of Lawrenceville; step-sisters, Gail and Joy Lance.
