Kimberley Sue Maney
Kimberley Sue Maney, 53, of Hayesville, formally of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away on Aug. 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Kimberley was born in Murphy, N.C. on Dec. 17, 1964 to Clifford F. and Patricia A. McClure Maney. Kimberley loved her church family at Oak Forest United Methodist Church. She faithfully read her bible, highlighting and writing scriptures.
She had a love for large ships and acquired a fleet of models. She also had an impressive baseball card collection. Kimberley enjoyed music therapy and loved talking on her videophone.
Kim was dearly loved by her family. She is survived by her parents, Clifford and Patricia Maney, of Hayesville; sisters and brother-inlaws, Pamela and Joe Everett and Lisa and Doug Hensley, all of Maryville, Tenn. A number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
Visitation was held from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Hayesville. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at Oak Forest United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryan Wilson officiating. Pallbearers were Joe Everett, Doug and Jackson Hensley, Justin Maney, Babe Lands and Steve Scott.
Interment followed in the Old Shooting Creek Cemetery in Hayesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Oak Forest United Methodist Church P.O. Box 152 Hayesville, NC 28904 with the memo The Bridge Addiction and Recovery Ministry.
Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Ga. was in charge of arrangements.
