Mattie Thelma Loftis
Mattie Thelma Loftis, 90, of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and the daughter of the late James and Ina Bell Maney Bradley. Mattie was an assembly line worker for ACI in Hayesville. She loved canning and cooking. Mattie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Saved by Grace Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Coy "R.B." Loftis; and two sons, Dillard and Wade Loftis.
She is survived by two sons, Willard and Allen Loftis, both of Hayesville; four daughters, Clayta Forrester and Vickie Coker, both of Hayesville, Eunata Nelms, of Cleveland, Ga. and Anita Sosebee, of Young Harris; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 20 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Pastor Shannon Burrell officiated. Burial was in the Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were grandsons.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
