Maudine Hogsed, 90, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee, Ga.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and the daughter of the late William Floyd and Hettie Moss Ledford. Maudine worked for NCR Electronics; she repaired circuit boards. She enjoyed gardening. Maudine was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hogsed; and one son, James Hogsed.
She is survived by one son, Monroe Hogsed, of Hayesville, one daughter, Anna Anderson, of Charlotte, N.C. and two grandchildren, Tommy Hogsed and Billy Anderson.
Funeral services were held at 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Eugene Freeman and Rev. Randolph Jones officiated. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold and Wade Ledford, Tim Reynolds, Tommy Hogsed, Billy Anderson and O'Dell Ivester.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
