Sandra Navarre

Sandra Navarre, 83, of Hayesville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 18, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio and lived in Ft. Myers, Fla. for 20 years before moving to Hayesville in 2004. Sandra was a business owner and had worked in real estate most of her life. She was an accomplished golfer, avid reader and enjoyed travel. Sandra was selfless in all aspects of life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She was the daughter of the late Lester and Eleanor Heltman Sauer, and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert C. Drewicz, who gave his life in Vietnam; and son, Robert C. Drewicz Jr.

Sandra is survived by her spouse, Jim Navarre, of Hayesville; six children, Deborah Hickman, Cathy Drewicz, Jamie Navarre, Jon Navarre, Joey Navarre and Julie Navarre; one brother, Tom Sauer; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Sandra’s granddaughter, Angel Amore, for the loving care she gave her.

The family will gather in October to honor the life of Mrs. Navarre.
