Timothy Scroggs, 64, of Brasstown, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at his residence. He was a native and lifetime resident of Brasstown. Tim built a reputation over 40 years for working on German and foreign cars. He enjoyed riding the country roads locally with his family, but also traveling across the country. Tim also enjoyed trout fishing and sitting down for a good meal.
He was the son of the late Harold and Doris Parton Scroggs. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Scroggs Jr. and Scott Scroggs; and an infant sister, Lanette.
Surviving is his wife, Lea Graham Scroggs; a daughter, Annie Scroggs, of Miami, Fla. and a son, Johnathan Scroggs and wife, Zoe, of Hayesville; two grandchildren; an aunt, Mabel Taylor of Asheville, N.C.; an uncle, Tommy Anderson, of Hayesville; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Kenny White officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Timothy Scroggs, in honor of his father, to the Hayesville VFW Post 6812, PO Box 825, Hayesville, NC 28904.
