Horace C. “Bud” Wimpey, 81, of Hayesville, passed away on April 20, 2022 at his residence. He was a native of Hayesville and a 30 year employee for TVA. He was the son of the late Taft and Betty Wimpey.

Kathy Hogsed McConnell, 66, of Hayesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 8, 2022.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in the chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Eva Mull Wike, PhD, 83, passed away, April 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Eva was born, Sept. 9, 1938 in Hayesville. She was one of eleven children born to Joseph and Martha Mull. She came from a close, loving family whose friendship was a strong influence her whole life.

Windel Locklear

Windel Locklear, 82, of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in a Clay County care facility. Windel was a native of Gainesville, Fla., where he lived most of his life until moving to Hayesville in 2006.

Wanda Bane Stuckey

Ms. Wanda Bane Stuckey, 79, of Hayesville, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her home. Ms. Stuckey was born Dec. 6, 1942 in Conway, S.C. to the late James Nelson Bane Sr. and the late Wyoma Louise Creel. Wanda loved attending church and her walk with the Lord was very important to her.

Fran Wallace

Fran Wallace, 76, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in a Clay County care facility. She was born Aug. 2, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Frank and Peggy Sullivan.  Fran moved to Chamblee, Ga. while in high school, where she met her future husband.
