To get it right, place names in life events must be correct

How place names should be entered in genealogy databases and online trees have been and always are a hot topic of discussion. This week I will continue with some rules to follow when entering place names in your genealogy database or online tree.
List the complete location hierarchy for each life event, all levels, including the country name. Use full names, do not abbreviate names. Do not adorn names with any additions of your own. Use commas between hierarchy levels. Use a question mark to clearly mark a missing jurisdiction field and do not deviate from the rules to accommodate reporting limitations.
