Like most Clay County residents concerned about an issue, I complain to my wife and friends. Last night, however I expressed my thoughts to the Economic Development Council at their meeting.
I, Fred Jackson, with chagrin and humility, must apologize to all whom I may have offended by saying I do not discriminate. I have come to understand I do discriminate. So does everyone.
There is a great deal of comment on North Carolina’s HB 2, restricting cities or counties from passing ordinances requiring “unisex” bathrooms. I am embarrassed that such a law is necessary.
Have you noticed that a lot of elected officials seem to have become overly defensive, ultra sensitive to being questioned, or to even the remote possibility of criticism.
