Hayesville High’s football season came to an abrupt end on Friday, Nov. 10 at the hands of Elkin. The two teams met up in round one of the North Carolina state playoffs. Elkin dominated from the early going and ended the Yellow Jackets’ championship hopes with a 50-7 loss.
