The Lady Yellow Jackets had an interesting week. On Tuesday, March 21 the team won by the lopsided score of 31-2 in less than two innings at Blue Ridge, N.C. Hayesville managed to keep the winning train rolling in Murphy on Thursday, March 23, by shutting out the rival Lady Bulldogs 6-0.
Hayesville's first game of the week took place in Blue Ridge and resulted in one of the most lopsided wins in the program's history. The game was competitive through the first inning with the Lady Jackets holding a 4-2 lead as they came to the plate in the top of the second. That's when the flood gates opened. Hayesville scored an incredible 27 runs in the inning and could possibly have scored more but the Blue Ridge coach threw in the towel and forfeited the game when the score hit 31-2 in the Lady Jackets' favor.
