Hayesville’s men split the week with a win and a loss
After a string of tough losses, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets looked to get back in the win column last week as they hit the road and traveled to Nantahala and Murphy. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, the Yellow Jackets got the ship turned in the right direction in Nantahala with a 67-35 win over the Hawks.
On Friday, Jan. 27, Hayesville entered the Doghouse to take on their chief rival, the Murphy Bulldogs. In the second meeting of the season between the Smoky Mountain Conference foes, the Bulldogs got the best of the Jackets by a final of 59-41.
