Bobby Ervin Dills, 85, of Young Harris, Ga. passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home after an extended illness. Bobby was born Oct. 27, 1935 to the late Frank Sr. and Pauline Brown Dills in Murphy, N.C.
Bobby was a simple man. Splitting wood in his white T-shirt was one of his favorite hobbies. He loved helping and serving others. He was a volunteer for many years at the House of Manna with his friends Sally and Joe Varao.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Necy Barlow Dills; an infant sister, Sally Belle Dills; infant brother, J.B. Dills and sister, Louise Lance.
He is survived by his son, Robert Lee Dills; daughters, Suzanne Kaye, Tracy Lee, Pauline and Tina Marie Dills; brothers, Frank Jr. and Bill Dills; a sister, Frances Bradshaw; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26 at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.
