Cheryl Leigh Linville-Notchie, 58, of Hayesville, passed away Oct. 28, 2021 following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 10, 1962 in South Bend, Ind.

She is survived by her husband, John Notchie of 33 years; son, Johnathan Notchie and soon to be grandson, Camden Notchie, of Hayesville; father, Jim and stepmother, Sharla, Linville, of Richmond, Miss.; mother, Doris Ann Doyle, of South Bend, Ind.; brother, Mark and spouse, Cheryl, Linville, of Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters, Nancy Young, of New Jersey and Lisa Marie and spouse, Cory, Blackwell of Kansas City, Miss.; step-brother, Joey Linville, of Florida, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Cheryl and her family had lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. for 27 years and reside in Hayesville for more than 13 years. No matter where she lived, she loved her community and was actively involved in numerous organizations and events. Cheryl had a true passion for children and animals. She worked at numerous schools, saved hundreds of animals and loved working at the church daycare. She touched everyone she met through her generosity, compassion and vibrant personality. Her laugh and smile were contagious and filled every inch of a room.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5 at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 495 Herbert Hills Dr., Hayesville.
