Delores Matheson Turrill, 68, of Hayesville, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Towns County, Ga., but lived in Clay County most of her life. Delores was a loving homemaker and kind-hearted woman. She was of the Christian faith.
She was the daughter of the late James William “Bill” and Rena Mae Ledford Matheson. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jackie Bruce, Bobby Burton and Billy Ray Matheson.
Surviving are her husband, Marty R. Turrill; an adopted son, Erik Turrill; two sisters, Doris Jean Overton, of Plains, Tenn. and Linda Darlene Long, of Hayesville; a brother, Charles Matheson, of Hayesville; and a granddaughter, Jasmine.
A private graveside service was held at Myers Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Trey Rogers officiating.
