Dorothy Mae Roberts, age 76, of Acworth, GA passed away at her home Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was a native of Warne, NC and a lifetime resident of Acworth, GA. Dorothy was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was retired and enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Dorothy loved all animals and had a family of deer that waited on her every morning in her yard for their “deer” bread. She had her share of many dogs/cats throughout her life and treated them like her kids. She was an avid NASCAR Fan and loved watching Racing on Saturdays & Sundays and Football games in between.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her Husband, Ronald Roberts, her son, Michael Roberts, her mom & dad, Wayne & Eunia Mae Ford, and her brother Herman Ford.
She is survived by her daughter/son-in-law, Gina & Scott Nuckolls of Ballground, GA; one grandson & his wife, Chris & Courtney Nuckolls of Canton, GA; one granddaughter, Kayla Sherman of Ballground, GA; Todd Sherman of Peachtree City, GA; & five great-grandchildren, Brayden, Llana, Cullen, Slade & Willow, "The greatest blessings of her life." She is also survived by her sister/brother-law, Ann & Cecil King, of Warne, NC; one nephew, Dustin King of Warne, NC; her sister-in-law, Sandra Nelson of Murphy NC; two nephews, Chris & Mark Dickey of Murphy, NC & several other nieces/nephews.
Visitation and services will be Friday, September 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Acworth, GA starting at 1 PM. A graveside service at Rolling Hills Cemetery will follow the service. Contributions can be made to St. Jude’s children’s Hospital or the Cherokee County Animal shelter in Canton, GA in honor of Dorothy.
