James Daniel Ledford, 87, of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Hayesville entered into eternity on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga with his family present. He had suffered a lingering illness for several months.
He was born in Clay County to the late Belcher S. Ledford and Donnie Davenport Ledford. He is survived by Brenda Kay, the love of his life for 32 years.
Survivors include a son, James David Ledford and his wife, Shawn; a daughter, Kathy Hill and her husband, Bob; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Enoch Ledford and wife, Alva Jean, and a sister Marilyn Freeman and husband, Eugene.
The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 16.
A celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17 at Heritage Chapel with burial at 1 p.m. in the National Military Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn.
