Jerry E. Noell, of Leeds, Ala., passed into Glory to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on May 14, 2021.

He was born in Athens, Ga. and was preceded in death by his mother, father and youngest brother, Camilla, Millard and Steve Noell, all of Athens, Ga.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Rogers, of Hayesville, sons Scott (Kathy), of Pell City, Ala., and Russ (Katherine), Hoover, Ala., and four grandchildren, Brittany, Brad, Emma and Evan.

He was a strong and faithful Christian, serving his Lord and his church in several areas, including Sunday School teacher, trustee, deacon and staff member of Huffman Assembly of God/Cathedral of the Cross. He and his wife are members of Church of the Highlands Greystone Campus.

He lived and worked in Leeds since 1972, serving on the Board of Adjustment for five years and playing the character of Captain Dabney in the Leeds John Henry Folk Festival for three years. He was the owner of Computer Graphic for 20 years. He graduated in 1958 from Athens High School and he served three years in the U.S. Army as a nuclear warhead specialist stationed in Verona Italy. He then graduated from the University of Georgia in 1964. He loved college football and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, becoming a big Alabama fan during his life in Leeds. He also loved playing golf and his golf group of friends.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday May, 18. Visitation was from 2-3 p.m. from the Chapel at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
