This is to advise that beginning Tuesday, July 6 Old Highway 64 East will be closed to all through traffic from the intersection of Old Highway 64 East and Eagle Fork Road. The closure to all through traffic on this section of Old Highway 64 is necessary in order to construct a road widening project over this stretch. We anticipate re-opening Old Highway 64 East to through traffic no later than Friday, Aug. 13.
The detour routes for local traffic south bound will be to continue U.S. Highway 64 to the intersection of U.S. Highway 64 and Geisky Creek Connector. Turn left on Geisky Creek Connector then continue to the intersection of Geisky Creek Connector and Old Highway 64 East.
Road closure barricades will be placed on Old Highway 64 East at the intersection of Old Highway 64 East and U.S. Highway 64. The department apologizes for any inconvenience this road closure and detour may create for the residents and commuters in this area of Clay County.
