A perfect day on the golf course

Tuesday was just about a perfect day for golf, with temperatures in the low 80’s and intermittent clouds. We had a fun game of randomly drawing “Blind Partners” after the round.

The heat dome was in full effect on Tuesday as we intrepid golfers used portable fans, cool cloths and ice-cold water to cool off. We felt victorious just to finish the round.

Tucker Anderson, of Blairsville, Ga., powered to victory in the Limited Late Models feature Saturday night at Tri-County Racetrack.
Anderson, No. 17, led the 25-lap main event ahead of Jamie Oliver, No. 38, of Murphy, N.C., in second and Shawn Chastain, No. 00, of Murphy in third.

Racing action heats up at Tri-County despite passing shower

A quick shower rolled through the north Georgia mountains on Friday, June 12, but it couldn’t dampen the excitement at Tri-County Racetrack. Fans and drivers stuck it out for a full night of thrilling dirt-track racing that included makeup races from the rain-shortened Memorial Day event.
