Investigators with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office have charged a pair of Warne residents with several drug-related charges, including tracking in heroin,.
A search warrant was executed Sept. 23 on a property in Warne, where multiple suspected controlled substances were seized along with U.S. currency. Anthony Coffey, 33, and Sheena Parton, 35, both of Warne, were taken into custody and each given a $100,000 secured bond.
Both subjects were charged with trafficking in heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule I, possession of heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining dwelling for keeping controlled substance.
Clay County Sheriff Bobby Deese said investigators seized eight grams of heroin, six grams of methamphetamine and one gram of fentanyl.
"Heroin seems to be on the rise again," Deese said. "This case in particular wasn't a long investigation. It was one of those rare situations where everything just lined up perfectly."
All individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
