The Friends of the Library Board is proud to announce the installation of a striking new mural on the back wall of Moss Memorial Library. Designed to resemble full bookshelves, the artwork features more than 100 book spines, each one thoughtfully selected to reflect the power of literature. The mural, designed and installed by Signs Fast, highlights a wide range of voices from classic to contemporary and from regional to global.
We are especially proud to feature several works by regional authors. Western North Carolina is home to a remarkable number of gifted writers, and while we wish all of them could be represented, we hope this mural serves as a tribute to the literary talent we’re so fortunate to have in our area.
We invite residents and visitors alike to stop by, explore the titles and maybe discover a new favorite. Perhaps, step inside the library and bookstore to get a book for yourself.
