Clay County heralded in the season in grand style during its nighttime parade that stretched from the courthouse parking lot to the town square in a show of brilliant lights and creativity that delighted spectators along the route. This year’s parade had more than 60 participants that included beautiful floats, walkers carrying banners, veterans, the Hayesville School Band, classic cars, sparkling trucks, and horses, among others. The sheriff’s office and Clay County Fire & Rescue kept the route safe along the route. Many thanks to all who participated.
