Veterans' Park
Breezy Raxter’s fifth graders set up a station where they learned about the county’s military history including the American Revolution at the new Veterans Park at the ballfields. Students attending are, from left, Aubrey Whitlow, Harper Rhodes, Savannah Irish, Emma Cunningham, Gabriel Garcia, Landon Ward, Weston Woody, Liam Canup, Caden Bradshaw, Gabe Canup, Lincoln Blizzard, Gage Jones, Cole McGough, Finn Hensley, Olivia Ledford, Aubree Knight. The Veterans Park will be dedicated Monday, May 26 and will include Memorial Day services. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. In case of rain the event will be moved to the Black & Gold Center at the ballfields.
