The Smoky Mountain Conference held its middle school track and field championship Saturday, May 22 in Murphy. Athletes from Hayesville Middle School competed against seven other schools and kept the tradition of excellence alive as the Yellow Jackets claimed the championship in the boys division and the Lady Jackets took second in the girls division.
