Christmas Parade theme is selected

Recently the Clay County Progress held a “Name the Christmas Parade Theme” contest in which middle school age students were invited to enter a theme, accompanying drawing and reason for choosing the theme.
“Come Down to Jingle Town in Hayesville,” was the winning entry that came from Sara Teleky, a sixth grader at Hayesville Middle School.
Teleky said she chose this theme because, “I think it’s cute and matches Hayesville nicely. I like the props in my drawing because it goes well with the Christmas theme.”
The Hayesville Christmas Parade will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 on the town square. There is no fee for entries, but participants must fill out an entry form available at the Progress office in Moore’s Plaza, Business Highway 64, Suite 4.
