Under clear skies and surrounded by family, friends, faculty and community members, 104 seniors crossed the stage Friday, June 5, during the Hayesville High School Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony at Frank R. Long Memorial Stadium. The packed stands reflected the overwhelming support and pride felt throughout Clay County as graduates celebrated the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
The Class of 2026 leaves behind an impressive legacy of academic achievement, athletic success, community involvement and leadership. Throughout their time at Hayesville High School, these students have demonstrated determination, resilience and a commitment to excellence, qualities that will serve them well in the years ahead.
As graduates received their diplomas, they also took the first steps toward exciting new futures. Members of the Class of 2026 will pursue a variety of paths, including enrollment at colleges and universities, attendance at technical and trade schools, entry into the workforce and service in the United States military. While their destinations may differ, each graduate carries with them the lessons learned and memories made during their time as Yellow Jackets. Hayesville High School emphasizes preparing students for success in whatever path they choose after graduation.
The ceremony served not only as a celebration of accomplishments but also as a reminder of the strong community that has supported these students along the way. Parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, mentors and friends all played a role in helping the Class of 2026 reach this milestone.
As the graduates turn the page to a new chapter in their lives, Clay County has every reason to be proud. Whether continuing their education, beginning careers or serving their country, the members of the Class of 2026 represent the future of our community and beyond.
