Clay County Farmers Market seeking vendors

The Clay County Farmers Market is gearing up for another exciting season bringing fresh local produce and community connections to the area. Hosted by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Clay County Center, the market will once again be held at Hayesville Square.

This year market days will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursdays beginning on May 8 through Sept. 25. The change in schedule aims to accommodate both vendors and customers better, ensuring a vibrant and successful market season while taking into consideration the hot weather.

Farmers, bakers and food vendors interested in participating can review the market guidelines and submit applications online at go.ncsu.edu/clayfarmersmarket or visit the Cooperative Extension office at 25 Riverside Circle, Hayesville for more information. There is no fee for vendors.

The Clay County Farmers Market serves as a vital hub for supporting local agriculture, connecting residents with fresh high-quality products and fostering a strong sense of community. Mark your calendars and get ready to shop local this season.
