An outdoor Easter passion play titled, “Death to Life,” was at Mountain Grace Baptist Church on McDonald Road in Clay County. Pastor Kyle Cody explained that the drama depicts the life of Christ. “From triumph to betrayal, to the cross, to the empty tomb— from death to life, this is the story of Jesus Christ. Betrayal would lead him to a garden to pray under the weight of our sins. Denial would lead him to a trial of cruel mocking, but love would lead him to Calvary,” Cody said. One scene from the drama includes the 12 apostles at the “Last Supper.” Locals participating in this portion of the walk-through event held Saturday and Sunday are, from left, Steve Holloway, Darrel Parker, Phillip Reece, Jeremy Stewart, Christopher Moore, Dustin Stephens, Jordan Lingerfelt, Preston Cabe, Nathan McClure, Stuart Dalrymple, Caden Dalrymple, Josh Caldwell and Tinnon Collins.
