Ava Shook receives her diploma from her dad, Clay County Board of Education Chairperson Dr. Jason Shook at graduation Friday night.
In a rare and special circumstance, Clay County Board of Education Chairperson Dr. Jason Shook had the honor of presenting a diploma to his daughter, Ava Shook, during the graduation ceremony held Friday, June 5 at Frank R. Long Memorial Stadium.
As Ava crossed the stage to receive her diploma, the moment became more than a ceremonial milestone. Following the presentation, Dr. Shook warmly embraced his daughter. The embrace symbolized years of support, encouragement and dedication — not only from a father watching his daughter reach an important achievement, but also from an educator and community leader witnessing a new chapter begin in the life of someone he loves. It was a moment that will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come.
