HMS’ Eli Cheeks sets record in 800 meter

    Hayesville Middle School posted that they are “extremely proud” to announce on Monday, March 3, 2025 a long-standing HMS track record was broken. Eighth grader Eli Cheeks broke an 18-year standing record in the 800 meter run. The record was set by Tyler Breedlove back in 2007 with a time of 2:17. Cheeks set the new record with a time of 2:14.83. Eli is the son of Glenn and Melissa Cheeks.
