The Clay County Communities Revitalization Association welcomes the Mason Parker Band to the grounds of the Historic Courthouse/Beal Center Friday, June 21. Mother Nature interfered with Parker’s original debut date on May 17, so everyone is hoping for great weather and a great turnout.

Born and raised in the mountains of northeast Georgia, Parker has a propensity for outlaw country, but he doesn't want to be defined by any singular genre. Having a mom who was always playing or singing gospel music, and a dad who played everything from classic country to Lynyrd Skynyrd to Nelly, those influences come across during his performances. He wants to be himself no matter what he plays, so everything he sings is pure Parker. Parker doesn't want to be a local musician for the rest of his life; he wants to take his passion and career as far as he possibly can with the support of his fans. Come out and support this local talent before he hits the big time.

This is the third concert in the 2024 CCCRA Friday Summer Concert Series. Mark your calendars for Fridays, June 21 and 28, July 5 and 26 and Aug. 9 and 16. CCCRA’s free concerts are made possible through sponsorships from private individuals, businesses, organizations and from donations to the red bucket on concert nights. CCCRA is grateful for the support of three key community sponsors this year: The Richard Kelley Group - RE/MAX Town & Country, Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Jodi Sullivan and Highway 69 Storage.

Laughing Dogs Brewing will offer great local brews, plus cider and wine for purchase. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 532 will roast their crowd-favorite hot dogs as a fundraiser for veterans. This week, Pic-a-Nick Basket Deli will offer a choice selection of sandwiches to temp your taste buds.

Historic Hayesville Inc. will provide free transportation on the Red Rider between area parking areas and the square. Everyone is encouraged to bring family and friends and lawn chairs or blankets. Food and beverage service starts at 6 p.m. and music at 7 p.m.

If we must make the difficult decision to cancel and/or reschedule any of our Friday night concerts due to weather, an announcement will be made on both the CCCRA website events page: www.cccra-nc.org/cccra-events and the CCCRA Facebook page: www.facebook.com/cccranc.

Join us and enjoy the sounds of pure Mason. After he hits it big, you can say “I saw him in Hayesville.”
