Plan to be on the square in downtown Hayesville at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1 for the first Moonshine Mardi Gras Parade followed by an evening gala.

The parade around the square will include music, dancers, Mardi Gras beads, festive costumes and a taste of New Orleans food served from Cat Daddy’s mobile cuisine.

Those who choose to stay in town after the parade will have opportunity with a nominal fee of $25 to enjoy music by the popular Quick Brown Fox band from about 7:30-10 p.m. inside the Beal Center. Attendees for the evening event inside the Beal Center must be 21 with valid identification.

Commemorative event T-shirts are available for purchase at Tiger’s store while supplies last.

Support is appreciated from sponsors launching the new area event including Fat Dog Sports Bar & Grill, Georges Paint & Hardware, Jim Miller State Farm, Anderson Financial Services, Zen Salon & Spa, Hayesville Brew, Keep Me Posted, Tri-County Office Supply and Jacky Jones Ford.
