More than 200 people came to Church Street in downtown Hayesville to enjoy the first St. Patrick’s Day Irish Bash featuring bagpipes, traditional Irish food such as corned beef and cabbage, Guinness beef stew, traditional shepherds pie, bangers and mashed potatoes, prepared by Fat Dog Restaurant.

In addition, craft vendors lined Church Street next to the Beal Center and child-friendly activities such as face painting was also available.

The square now offers two new spring annual events, the Mardi Gras Parade and the St. Patrick’ Day Bash.
