Clay County is under a winter storm watch this Friday with a potential of snow, possibly mixed with ice with accumulation of up to 3 to 5 inches, according to the Weather Channel. The high will be around 35 with 100 percent chance of snow. This all conjures up memories of frigid temperatures in the past including the photo above taken in the early 1960s during an ice storm in Hayesville.
