Shhhh, 'Don't Tell Danny'

It’s not really a secret. In fact, spread the word! Classic rock band “Don’t Tell Danny” will headline Clay County Communities Revitalization Association’s Friday Summer Concert Series on Friday, June 26. This female-fronted group mixes in pop and dance music with the classic rock to ensure it keeps the crowd rockin’ and having a great time. Winners of the Cherokee, Ga, Life magazine’s 2024 best local band award, Don’t Tell Danny covers hits from Journey, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Van Halen, Pink and more. Lead vocalist Becky Denham is backed by vocalists Gabrielle and Erin Johnson and seven hard-playing instrumentalists. The Atlanta-based group tours nationally, performing in California, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and soon Hayesville. The summer is flying by, don’t miss this concert, the fifth of eight concerts in the 2026 Friday Summer Concert Series. Concerts are free to the public. The are made possible through sponsorships of local businesses, donations to the red buckets passed around on concert nights and countless volunteer hours. The Friday concerts are always kid and leashed-dog friendly, and are wheelchair accessible. Bring your family and friends, and blankets or comfy lawn chairs to the Historic Courthouse/Beal Center courtyard. Keep your energy up to dance. Visit this week’s food vendors: Dragon Ass Smoked BBQ and the American Legion. Non-alcoholic beverages, beer and wine will be available for purchase. Food and beverage service begins at 6 p.m. and music at 7 p.m. Parking is available on nearby streets and parking lots. HHI’s “Red Rider” wagon will transport you to and from your car.
