Jack McKeon hails from Chatham, N.Y. and now based in Nashville, McKeon is an eclectic-roots singer-songwriter known for his honest, plainspoken vocals and crystalline character sketches. Inspired by literary icons like Guy Clark and John Hartford, McKeon's message-driven lyricism shines beautifully on his acclaimed 2024 debut album, "Talking to Strangers."
Ava Paige is a musical prodigy who has been writing songs since childhood, Paige has astonished Nashville veterans with her mature, innate understanding of the craft. The Songwriters Showcase has long been a staple of the western North Carolina arts scene. This round offers the perfect opportunity for newcomers to discover the intimacy of the performance style, where artists share the raw, acoustic versions of their songs and the deeply personal stories behind them. Longtime fans will find a familiar, welcoming atmosphere paired with a completely fresh, top-tier musical lineup.
We love seeing our regular patrons who have made this showcase a tradition, but we are equally excited to welcome new faces to the Peacock. The talent coming in for Showcase 62 is truly world-class, combining deep bluegrass roots, literary songwriting and incredible pop-country sensibility.
