Betty Frances Teems

Betty Frances Teems, 83, of Young Harris, Ga., passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2022.

She was a native of Clay County and the daughter of the late William "Hub" and Mary Mills Ivester. Betty enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, quilting and made musical instruments. She loved to cook for her family and spending time with her grandson and great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Teems; one brother, Kenneth Ivester; and daughter in law, Renea Teems.

She is survived by her son, Stanley Teems and Michelle Shelton; one daughter, Glenda Clayton and husband, Bill Clayton; one grandson, Marcus Teems and wife Eman; one great-granddaughter, Aya Teems.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Teems Family Cemetery. Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Pallbearers will be Marcus and Stanley Teems, Jordan Shook, Paul and Doug Gibson, David Owens and Glenda Clayton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Clayton, Robbie George and Harold Moore.
